The Senior Affairs Committee hosted a successful 2018 Black History Awards Reception at the Center in the Park on Friday, February 23, 2018.
This years honorees were Brother Congressman Dwight E. Evans, Lorina Marshall-Blake, Councilwoman Cherrell Parker. Dr. Molefi Asante was presented the Special Service Award.
Brothers Robert N. Hunter and Alonzo Kittrels (Co-chairs of the Senior Affairs Committee) welcomed guests to the reception. The event was free for attendees and funded by sponsors. All proceeds go to benefit The Achievement Academy, The HBCU College Tour and the Philadelphia Alumni Scholarship Program.
