Sickle Cell Disease continues to be one of the true challenges for people of color in this country and beyond and especially African Americans.Most of our Brothers and Sisters with this disease won’t live past 45 years of age. Philadelphia Alumni Community Service chair Clarence Iszard and Past Polemarch Richard Lee Snow implored the membership and their families to support Brother Stanley Simpkins, Executive Director of the Sickle Cell Disease of America -Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter in his efforts to make a difference. Simpkins sent a token of his appreciation to attendees after the walk. A photo of the walk and the thank you card are shown below.
