I welcome you to the virtual home of the Philadelphia Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc was founded in Bloomington, Indiana on January 5, 1911. Since that date our fraternity has grown immensely. On May 25, 1922 the Philadelphia Alumni Chapter was chartered and our first Polemarch was one of our founding Brothers, John Milton Lee. From 1922 to present day, our chapter boasts examples of achievement in every field of human endeavor. Some names you will recognize—Johnnie Cochran, Ralph Abernathy, Wilt Chamberlin, Montell Jordan, Arthur Ashe, John Singleton, Tom Bradley, John Conyers, Kwame Jackson, Marvin Sapp, Bill Russell, and Colin Kaepernick. And while the majority of our members do not have household names, they are powerful in their own right.

This chapter has consistently served the community of Philadelphia for almost 100 years. We support the Fraternity’s National Signature Initiatives. They are:

  • Guide Right
  • Undergraduate Risk Management
  • St. Jude’s Research Hospital
  • Big Brothers/Big Sisters
  • Mental Health: Education, Awareness and Treatment
  • Learn to Live (NOBLE)
  • Finical Literacy
  • Military and Veterans Affairs
  • Youth Literacy
  • Room to Read
  • Senior Kappa Affairs

Our theme for as we enter our 100th Anniversary year is “Embrace our past, Celebrate the Present and Look to the Future – 100 years of Achievement.” I invite you to celebrate with us this year and beyond.

Phi Nu Pi is our matter and Achievement is our goal. If you have heard the history of Kappa you know we are noble and bold.
